- What do you want to sell? Please give us as much information as you can. The more informed we are, the better we can advise you about the most effective and efficient way to sell your goods.
- When describing your goods, try to be objective about their condition. Lying or withholding information from us about at items condition will not increase its value.
- We have sold everything from million-dollar bulldozers to second-hand clothing and although we have a wealth of knowledge, no-one generally knows more about your goods than yourself.
2. Consignment of goods
Once you have understood our processes and are happy to proceed, we will be happy to take delivery of your goods.
-
Collection/Delivery:
To assist you with the sale of your goods, we require that the items be sold from our premises in either Harare or Bulawayo.
The goods can either be collected by our experienced transport team, or you may deliver them to our premises during normal working hours (9am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm Saturday). Should we collect the goods, the cost of transport shall be added to your consignment and the fee deducted off the sale proceeds at the time of payout.
- Receiving:
Once your goods have been brought into our premises, our receiving department shall begin the process of preparing your goods for sale. The items shall be identified, placed into sellable lots and captured into our auction management system. You will then be provided with a consignment note detailing the lots consigned and we ask that you or your nominated representative sign off on the consignment for us to continue to the next stage in the process.
-
Valuation:
As ABC Auctions, we pride ourselves on being able to offer you, our seller, with the opportunity to realise the maximum possible value return for your goods in line with the current market. We have taken considerable strides to ensure your goods reach the largest active buyer pool in the country, are prepared for sale in the best way possible, are marketed to the right audience, as well as ensuring that the sale process is transparent and that our communication and documentation provided is concise and audit friendly.
This model, aligned with our aim to ensure a mutually beneficial sale result drives our desire to achieve maximum return for you. We believe in the effectiveness of the service we offer and the market reach we provide. As a result, all goods brought in for sale are sold to the highest bidder on auction at a value that is purely market-determined. Aligned with this, we do not guarantee specific sale values, but do assure you that every effort is taken to maximise return.
Should you wish to familiarise yourself with the sale values of similar goods, our online bidding platform provides a great catalogue of previous sales and the results achieved - https://bid.abcauctions.co.zw/auctions/past
The estimated values that appear on your consignment note are provided only to give you an idea of what we feel your goods may be worth and guide our auction starting bids. The outcome of the sales is driven more by our service and less by our value estimates.
